@DameDiabolique Good point but...One of my closest friends is black. I'm white. My great grandparents came from Ireland on dad's side and Canada on mom's. I feel no connection to those country's. I am an American. Period. And no one thinks to call me Irish or Canadian American. Yet my friend, who tells me she feels no connetion to Africa, is automatically refered to as African American because her skin color is darker than mines. We think this broad labeling is very odd at best.

Some Humans can run resturants, some Humans can't! Color shouldn't matter at all.

Black is a color Africa is the continent from which African Americans originate

Personally, I like being called African American. I mean what else is there to call us. Yes we are all Americans and we are all humans but come on, we are not all exactly the same. I think that people need to embrace Multiculturalism instead of trying to be ashamed of who they are. I was not born in Africa but my ancestors are from Africa so that makes me African American. I also have nothing wrong with people saying "black" or "people of color" either. I don't see anything racist about them.

i agree atlallone. I've only known in my 35 years alive in america, one actual african american. MEANING: one man born in africa who moved to america and is now an american citizen. I do have alot of american friends who happen to be black, but none of them were born in africa except the one dude i mentioned earlier. we're all human and each culture of human has its morons. black culture gets people like tyson and jesse jackson, white culture has bill oreilly and george bush administration etc.

He's not refering to the whol neighbourhood. He's refering to the people running that particular restaraunt, and they were african american. If you dont like that word, you can say "black", but "people of color" is an old school word with old school associations. Not really the right choice of word when you're trying to chew out another person for being racially out of touch.

wouldnt work better to me.... i hate being called african american.... i beleive he is saying people of color because he is assuming more than just black people live there. There are also latins
he says no one was there screaming get me some M F-ing Tea. it just show he has a racist world view and thinks black people are dirty, loud people who he is surprised they can even run a restaurant. he is truly a F*cking Dumb S*it tampon vampire.

If you watch the entire clip, you'll realize they are being quite fair. In fact they were beyond fair: Bill O'Reilly holds others in the media world to an insanely high standard(a good dollop of his ideology informs this standard, hence very few will ever meet with his 'approval') - if anybody falls below his standard, he attacks with venom. Yet he routinely falls below the same standard he has set(let alone common decency & professionalism), & attacks those that point out the double standard.
