I have adobe premire pro 2 and it wont pop up? ha and ive been looking for about 2 days straight on how to get it to work.. advice?

@slick6team a quick google search revealed that you are not the first to have this problem with premier and the GL2! While we don't use Adobe Premier, It seems that people have had success by following these steps:

Turn GL2 off. Open Premier. Turn on GL2. Open capture. Press play on GL2. Hit capture on Premier. At the CTLT we use firewire controlled Sony progressive mini HDV Decks to capture media to Final Cut Pro.

Thanks but what do you recomend for a mini dv head clearer my heads are dirty on my GL-2 so help please?

@GAPHOTOMAN, We use the Sony brand mini-dv head cleaner cassettes. They can be found online for around $9.

Is the sd card only for still images or can videos be recorded to it also?

@FocusedTeam The GL2 can only record images from its 1.7 Megapixel (1428x1128 pixel) still camera feature to the SD card.

When the timer is at 4:29 the view finder of the gl2 has a flashing red icon on the right side. It appears to be a boat with a line through it. I have had a gl2 for 5 years and it never had this icon but it did appear recently. I can't find what it is in the manual but it also seems to not interfere with filming. Do you know what this icon signifies?
