Seth Andrew, Superintendent of Democracy Prep Public Schools, discusses the importance for joy and rigor in the classroom. Democracy Prep is a "no excuses" school: high expectations are set for every student; no child will fail; and every student will go to college. Two things set Democracy Prep apparent, specifically the integration of students with disabilities and the commitment to civics through meaningful citizenship involvement starting in sixth grade. The school's motto is "work hard, go to college, change the world." Learn more and get involved at Schools That Can http://www.schoolsthatcan.org/
