Mmm. Those spoilers are quite strange. I suppose once the aircraft has slowed enough for there being no chance of lift they can just go down, on the ground they dont really help slow the plane, they just prevent it from lifting again.

@JeremyB787 On some airplanes the spoilers automatically goes down when the pilot turns off the reverse thrust, and the standard speed for that is between 80-60 knots, and he took a fastspeed exit which means they can have a bit higher speed than the standard taxispeed of 20-25 knots.

@210482fmj That is the reason. Most of Europe go on vacation in August and that is the best weather for flying. I fly our planes, have been to 'E' many times. Live there for 8y and have many relatives living in Holland. We usually go in June, July, August or September to miss the crowd. Happy to hear you had a nice flight. I fly a small business jet called the Citation Encore and we have had some bad weather crossing the 'pond'. The jet belongs to my dad and uncle.

@CaptainArt777 2010 was excellent weather in canada and bc had that heat wave and it was 30deg c at 9:30 in the evening in vancouver. I had a totally cloudless flight from toronto to vancouver and it was amazing. ALso it was quite hot at altitude. IT was quite a strange feeling having an 8 hour flight from heathrow to toronto then another nearly 5 hour flight to vancouver from toronto and it not getting dark so soon. I like the skipping time zone effect

@TheDarkKnight181 Sorry mate, I may have come on to strong. Tired of all those so called experts that post nonsense on here. Only come on when my son ask me a question. I hold all the ratings, have over 10,000hrs, gone around the world 6X, should have been 7 but got sick this past summer. I fly my dad and uncle comp. jet. We started out with the Citation Ultra, now the Encore. I hold the single pilot or "S" rating for both. I wish you happy and safe flying.
What seat were you in?

The working of the speedbrakes is strange. It's not supposed to go down soon after touchdown. At least the speedbrakes should be pulled down when the plane is leaving the runway... Nice video, and of course, nice touchdown!

@JeremyB787 Thanks mate!! I was really wondering if that was safe too...

@dantorp11 On the video, the pilot closed the S/B when he was at a safe speed and was about to vacate the runway, it couldn't be safer. It is a wonderful video, and hooray for runway 6L, personally its my favourite runway at Montréal Trudeau. :)
