A morning drive on north I-15 from Nevada through Arizona to Utah. This is a spectacular, even overwhelming, bit of interstate that took many years to build at a cost of $10 million per mile at the time it was constructed. Completed in 1973, the stretch includes five bridges and a climb of about 800 feet in elevation.

  • Do u get snow there? The roads look like they be a lot of FUN in a blizzard...NOT!

  • @rkansas1 -- I'm pretty sure it's in a corner of desert and mountains where it snows very rarely at that elevation

  • I'm glad you didn't put music to it, it's much easer to tell what the ride is like hearing traffic, tire and engine noises Just took this route a few hours ago, it is so awesome

  • @TheChevyman1471 Thanks. I like hearing the sound of the road too. This is one of my favorite drives.

  • This is a very nice video.....It's very clear...Which recording device did you use? I have a road trip coming soon from The Midwest to California, and I'd like to capture these stunning views as I pass through I-15...BTW I don't see any small cars ie: Honda Accords etc....I'm wondering, how will I fair out in small car versus not having a truck? Oh Well, I'll soon find out!!! Thanks for the upload..Good Job A+

  • @kimeetha This was taken with a Panasonic Lumix pocket camera. I have a newer high definition video of this same drive that was taken with a Nikon D90. It's much better quality, though the angle of view is not as wide. Small cars are best for the highways in this area, BTW (unless you have a convertible). They use a lot less gas.

  • @nationalparkvisitor That's good but a rain storm would be a wash.Great scenery and good job filming.

  • I drove this last week! it was nice... i wasnt expecting it to be so beautiful

  • I can't believe that spilled paint on the road near the bottom was there last July. I just drove through there last week and saw that... I guess they don't have road crews out there very often.
