That's an achievement you should be proud of for as long as you live. Seriously.
Respect!

I had heard the breaking news yesterday, and I watched this video today -- it must be the newest,... and very significant page of TGM history. Congratulations, you persevered in it!

Why is it free play???

I have no idea why I didn't know about this video until today, but I'm glad I know now. This is absolutely sick! You rock man!

Absolutely incredible. You are truly part of an elite group.

props dude. Way to go.

all you truly need is to be smart, quick witted and memorize the rotations of every piece and how that interacts with every piece. That took me about a week. The rest is getting used to the mechanics, that took me about 2 weeks. So it wouldn't take you a year unless you are mentally and physically good at tetris.
-
lol what? I have literally played this specific tetris for a few weeks and I can finish TGM mode. It's just time and time again I find this version of tetris to be inferior. I really don't like the mechanics they have hidden behind it.
-
2-3 years huh? I'll probably get bored of tetris by then lol
-
I'm very amazed at this, having pieces stack up in the middle is important so you can have the pieces slide left or right, I never thought of that. I had always enjoyed tetris on my little black and white gameboy form 97' so watching this was intense.
that was epic... how long did it take for you to get that good? I just started playing TGM and can only get about level 200 on that mode :(

200 is pretty good for just starting out, even if you've played other tetris games. It's hard to say how long it took me because I didn't just focus on this one mode and I had lots of breaks. But from your current level it would take about 2-3 years the way most people play, or 1 if you play with a lot of energy and determination.

you mean first that you know of...

True, but if there's someone else they've done a good job of staying unknown to the entire western community of hardcore Tetris players. To this day nobody else has claimed to predate me.

I think there's a lot of people who play that aren't involved in any community (like me, though I can't beat death mode).

I hope you're right! The community is too small.
You can sort of get an idea of what's out there by looking at the skill level of new members who first make themselves known. Even the most exceptional cases are still less than halfway to Death GM. Factor in that this game hasn't been emulated very long, and I think there's a strong case for me being first.
Anyhow, if you feel like checking out the community just google "tetrisconcept". There's 2 known GMs and about 80 people trying for it.
