This happens a lot online. People will get offended over a word that is said because they feel as if you're saying something one thing and they just don't know what is meant. They don't even take the time to ask for clarification. They jump to conclusions. And this is one major reason why fights occur. Seems as if too many people don't really want to understandd anything.

Exactly... Its for that exact reason that I am no longer such a fan of youtube... Id rather deal with bloggers, because they seem to be more proficient in their use of a dictionary &/or just asking for clarification... I hate to sound like im bashing youtubers, but thats been my experience for the most part... Of course not all youtubers fit that description...

The meaning of words can change when placed in a different,,,,,,,,,wait for it.....CONTEXT. The meanings of words are not open to interpretation when used in the correct....CONTEXT.

cont4)mainstream. This doesn't happen only in America. Anywhere there is a majority, there will be a minority, and this will happen. I got both of those definitions form dictionarydotcom, I guess the second is easier for people to understand. DOn't ask me why but unfortunately, it will get you perks. cont.2)...American culture, African american culture, Asian american culture, Native american culture, Hispanic american culture. etc. Everyone in their prospective cultures just happens to have very similar skin color. Regardless of skin color, these cutures just happen to be different from American culture for some reason. American culture has the majority of people in it, The majority of their people have political power and pull. They are the most visible and is seen as the most powerful.

You can wrap your prejudice around a word and make it mean whatever you want. But he makes an excellent point. The idea of having a centralized source where we can see the meanings of words makes it easier for all of us to understand each other. It has nothing to do with race and I think it really limits your range of movement and action to think that way. As it seems you support segregation. In genetics the lack of variety in genes has proven to produce weaker individuals. Same with society.
