Babycakes You Always Freeze Me Up was the opening track on the setlist for this very special tribute gig to Dean turner, the band's late bassist. Before my camera started rolling, the band came onto the stage in darkness, candles providing the only light, as Adalita stood hunched over an amp playing feedback for ten minutes, and the sight of Adam crying made us fans choke back the tears. The single, thick distorted bass note that ripped through the silence was more powerful than any words could describe, and captured every emotion associated with grief that the band must be feeling. A truly memorable live experience.
Fantastic night - wonderful - beautiful - in so many ways - thank you, Adalita and Magic Dirt - and thank you, Ms Cherry, for filming and uploading this today ...
