19 year old Terry Granger (Melissa Gilbert) becomes pregnant. Not ready to be a mother, she thinks about having an abortion without telling her boyfriend (Steven Flynn), but her 60-year-old father (George C. Scott) finds out and makes it clear he's strongly opposed to the idea. He's forced to rethink his beliefs, however, when his younger second wife (Jacqueline Bissett) becomes pregnant as well, despite the fact that he'd told her he didn't want more children.

I said that in my opinion although she is very charming and endearing she is also very corny and hammy; in other words not a very good actress in terms of technique and craft. She specializes in maudlin roles where she plays out melodramas full of tears and effusive, gushing emotions. Compare her to some really good actresses like Meryl Streep, Hellen Mirren ,Judy Dench or Juliette and compare and contrast. No offense cause I really like Melissa as a person

Does anyone have the movie where mellisa gilbert played a young girl and her father murdered her mother and siblings. Am dying to watch this movie. Please upload if anyone has it. Also the movie where she married Joe Penny and his family was with the mafia, and he was ordered to kill her. My two favorite movies.
