This is a tutorial to show you how to cast-on using crochet hook.
Crochet cast-on is a very useful technique. It is used for provisional cast-on in knitting where the first row of the stitches are held on a separate piece of yarn. For this, it is better to use a slippery waste yarn as it would make it easier to unravel later on. The tip is to create a few chain stitch "tail" at the end so that you know it is the side that you would unravel from.
The great thing about crochet cast-on is that the casting-on edge is identical to the cast-off edge making the knitted piece more consistent.
Happy knitting!
