This 5 part step by step video takes you through the process of how we airbrushed the Skeleton Engine Cover. The customer wanted the skeleton to appear as if it were crawling out from under the bonnet of his vehicle, he also wanted to include a graveyard and we added some realistic fire for added effect.

We hope that you enjoy all parts of this video, feel free to comment, share and remember to visit our website to see more artwork and Tips & Tricks.

  • @retrogazele Hi there, thanks for the comment. All my work is finished with a 2K clear and Flowcoated for added durability and shine. I only use Intercoat Clear or Binder when using Candy in an artwork, that way once its sealed with Intercoat Clear / Binder I can then safely work over the top of the Candy. If this is not done, then in this piece my highlights or any light colours that I airbrush over a Candy will then turn pink as the Red Candy will bleed through once the final clear goes on.

  • @martoss1000 Thanks glad you like it so far, appreciate the comment.

  • @russ25052 Hey thanks for your comment... Great question, my painter and I actually discussed this issue with the customer, and mentioned that we can't put our usual guarantee on this piece due to temperature concerns. He was happy to proceed and has been enjoying the piece for almost a year now and it still looks perfect. Although all of the products we use are of the highest quality, I would always recommend discussing these issues with the customer prior to starting a project.

  • the owner of house of color said not to use intercoat clear on a candy job!!! still very nice job my friend!!
