@snottyxraygirl There were good reasons for the departure and they are still and always be good friends/brothers. As a matter of fact I saw on Cody's FB status that they were getting together this weekend to jam. Check out the new band though, it's called "Cody Canada and The Departed" they have an album out called "This Is Indian Land". it's a compilation of songs by a lot of different Oklahoma songwriters that CCRW was influenced by when the were first starting out. Good Album

I live right on the Arkansas/Oklahoma line, and the Texas line is maybe 50 miles from me. I just learned about these guys around 3 years ago. You would think they'd get a lot of airplay in these parts but they don't. That's a shame too because people are missing out on some good quality music. I happened to ask someone who these guys were because they were playing "Boy's from Oklahoma" on a juke box in a beer joint one night. Now it's Cody Canada and the Departed. Randy and Grady retired.

This is why we have YOUTUBE, so real music can be enjoyed and receive their dues!

Like but too much like Blind Faith (Clapton) on the guitar riffs. Good tune too much influence from Clapton. Remember George Harrison and his 1st Album.

@cjoeguid Well said.
@cjoeguid I agree for the most part, but I think that most Americans would welcome the real artists who write, sing, and perform their own original music. I think that more of the problem lies in the business where they are just following the same old formula to achieve big sales. When a radio station plays the same song 17 times in a day, they are ramming it down your throat, telling Americans what to like. I hate that. The most talented people may never be known.

These guys changed music forever, and it seems like most of the world doesn't even know it yet.
