I used to just think Algore was that stupid. Then I discovered that he created several carbon-credit companies (before leaving office?).

I don't think that the media or government cares that it is a hoax. They conspired for a greater cause, power and control and their own wealth. I can honestly say I never believed it but didn't really think about it too much. Now I see how these people in power were using this fraud to enrich themselves and I am angry that the media and business went right along with it, not challenging at all.
