This is the last story of the Pertwee era and it is a corker! The Doctor travels to Metebelis 3 to confront the Spider Queen to save the Earth and the humans on that far flung planet. While here on Earth, evil men seek to dominate the world through the misuse of benign mysticism. Can the Doctor save us all from the Planet of the Spiders?

  • Ha! I've always thought Doc Brown was a bit like the Doctor! Also, have you seen Fringe? (If you havn't seen it, great show, but you have to watch it from the beginning), I think John Noble (Doctor Walter Bishop) would be a great "older" doctor.

  • @WhoBoy93 I LOVE FRINGE SO MUCH! Every episode is a treat. You must already know about the bald alien? The watcher? You must already know he is in every episode? He does a walk through like Alfred Hitchcock. It's like looking for Waldo!

  • Once again a great review! Although the chase scene screams "filler" this is a great story featuring my favorite doctor.

  • @tokyojoe01 I would have eaten it up as a child!

  • I'm looking foward to the DVD release of Planet of the Spiders.

  • Brilliant.

I can still remember way back when watching this on TV when it aired, and Pertwee turns around with the spider on his back, spin chilling stuff for a 70 UK audience.

And i was really upset and inconsolable when he died(regenerated) after saving everybody.......a fantastic story for him to leave on.

keep up the good work. ;)

  • I really like this story too, and considering it has the regeneration to Tom Baker, for this alone I am baffled as to why it hasn't been released to DVD, whats up with that?

  • @Tricklestone yes =) Do you think he could be the doctor? John noble makes that show (IMO). Season premiere tonight (along with The Office and Bones). TV's back on, finally! I'm only 1/2 way through season 2, so I'm dvring fringe for now.

good to hear from you! enjoy the premiere!

  • @Tricklestone oh ok cool hope you do well in stand up :D

  • @SILENTSZ Thanks for the heads up

  • @hyp3rstrike Some amazing sci fi is coming up and I can't wait!

  • @codyw1 many thanks!
