@jonrok100 Thing is, as part of the British deactivation protocol, the barrel is welded in place. It's an unfortunate circumstance, but it's also part of their lives over the pond *said while caressing my live Mk1 and telling it that I'll never weld its barrel in place*

you didn't take off the barrel or bipod and didn't disassemble the buttstock, so it wasn't a complete strip

It's a real shame. We're lucky. In NZ collectors are still allowed to own original, full auto Mg's (but we can't fire them).

In our group we have a fully stripable dead bren gun :D I might have to try a timed strip down on a bren one day xD

It's a de-ac so no:-( Woukld love to try a barrel change, maybe when I'm older and I can get my hands on one
