  • I am going to make one soon. But its a hungry stove need a convery belt joking he he

  • But the fuel is free. I have to alter the pot standoff part so it's a little easier to feed the fire. The little pinecones I was using keep getting stuck. You know that conveyer idea might not be so bad. Hmmm.

  • you have class taste in music mate ! well done, your vids are fab. thanks

  • Thanks. I try to keep the sped up sections entertaining but it hard to find music that the Warner Music Group (WMG) don't take issue with. Those clowns have made YouTube shutoff the audio or outright delete several of my vids so far. Pretty soon I have any music but what I can play on my nose flute. LOL

  • Excellent video Hiram!

Very good boil time on your design.

    Thanks.

  • Thanks. Hey, that Porcupine Adjustable Alcohol Stove of yours ain't bad either.

  • @RJBURG I was just going to say, You really don't to have to tend these stoves very much. I think Hiram was trying to keep the flame up, but it will still warm your water just fine. The wood in the fire champer is still burning and producing heat even though there isn't flame. My stove heats water two or three minutes slower but that's okay. When I'm out in the woods and setting up camp, by the time I get back to the stove, my food or water is already going to be ready for the pot cozy.

  • @giantart I usually use dry grass, you can find it summer and winther, roll it in your hands, then drop it in the burn chamber. Start tossing in sticks right away and your going. You could use cotton balls with hand sanitizer or petroleum jelly on them. Simple.

  • @hiramcook

i can only agree warner brothers has ruined you tube i had multible vids deleted.

for audio tracks please give me a break if i sit here on my computer a hole weekend to edit a video don`t i have the right to play any music?

i hope some new community like youtube will open soon that allows any audio or video content.

  • Hi Hiram,

I need tomake at least two of these, as well as bigger. BSA is calling me. If one burns hardwoods (small pieces) do you get a cleaner burn?

I noticed you have the same olde pot set I have (1978). According to WHO I am told 155 degrees for 10 minutes kills all water borne, but safer (to me) is 170 for ten mins, same as pork and poultry. I was told anything that lives past 212 degrees is not harmful to us they are sulfur/methane munchers. Try Italian Wedding Soup.

    great video thanks

  • Tnx for your fine instruktion video´s.

I might use your stowes for my Boy scouts here in Denmark.

  • Great Video Hiram!! 5/5 Still think the time was great!! Ed
