I agree most people can't recognise tyranny but we fight it by educating people to history and facts and making them understand that giving up freedom for safety is allowing yourself to become enslaved.

Any Government that really wanted to fight terrorism would ensure it did not impact upon their peoples, culture, lifestyle or freedom because otherwise the terrorists get exactly what they want - that is just the opposite of what they are doing because it is all about pedalling fear to control.

Cars kill far more people then guns. But thats really not the point. Almost all people are willing to give up freedom for what they think is increased safety. Its usually only too late that they realize they made a very bad deal. Its human nature, at least to certain kind of people, and there isn't really any way for us to fight it.

There is more gun crime in New York where guns are very tightly controlled and less in areas such as Texas where guns are a way of life.
