*The Final Episode*

There were 839 entrants to this years main event. Each paid $10,000 to enter what was the largest poker tournament ever played in a brick and mortar casino at the time. Many entrants, including the overall winner, won their seat in online poker tournaments.

  • @ 5:30 check out the looks that Harrington and Lester give each other. Bet they were thinking... " A2s and JTs - omg they are donks - this is the wsop ffs" lmao

  • They keep saying Tomer is an expedition tour guide, but the only expedition I can imagine him leading is one to the elephants' graveyard to see the rest of his family.

  • @GialloHorror Agreed

I think the reason behind the Moneymaker bashing is a mixture of a few things, mainly that he just isn't as good as the other high profile players like Brunson, Hellmuth, Ivey and Chan etc. and he makes a lot more mistakes, and secondly because of the jelousy factor, he was an amateur that won it all and launched the game into the mainstream. Could've been you, or me. And also his limited success since, he won $2.5m here, 7 years later and he still hasn't broken $3m.

Nice.. Lets have a 1 on 1 match my full tilt poker username is murpex1027 :)

    And yep

I learned on the Full Tilt official blog recently you can currently make a account on the Full Tilt web page using the bonus code SPECIALS if ya don't presently have 1 with them. One good tip to start out with fast easy money to get better with. They will double your initial deposit oh and multiple other amazing perks. It's limited to the first 3000 people that create an account with this

  • You answered the question as to why I consider it pretty awful Giallo...calling hoping for a chop generally is not good poker. Hero calls in general should not be something that you do very often(unless you are a world class player)...and certainly not in a WSOP final table.

Maybe it wasn't 'beyond terrible' but it certainly was not a good call.

  • @Hamsterman691 Why is it beyond terrible? Sammy is a loose player, and could, have easily been making a play for that pot.

It's obvious Lester put sammy on a hand that would've chopped the pot with both players playing the board.

It was a loose call, but certainly not "beyond terrible"

  • I always have to laugh at the the idiots that bash Chris Moneymaker and his play. first of all EVERYONE that bahses him, NEVER won shit in poker.

Secondly, if not for Chris Moneymaker, 95% of the idiots that talk shit about him, wouldn't even know what NLHE is

Say what you will but without Moneymaker, poker isn't nearly the game it is today. He'll always be a LEGEND in my eyes, maybe not for his play but for what he did for the game, he will never be forgotten. I'd pay to shake taht man's hand

  • @Hamsterman691 he was a short stack and thought sammy was pushing him around and thought they were both playing the board. i can see why he made the call but his short stack and oop he shouldve folded the hand preflop lol
