This game was played between celtic and liverpool as a memorial to the Hillsborough disaster. It was also the first game liverpool had played since that semi final v Notts Forrest. This is converted from a vhs video which is 19 years old so the quality is as you would expect. Final score was 4-0 to Liverpool. This is part 1of 2 videos

@DJgaZman I was there too mate, I was 9 at the time and will remember it forever especially as I was on a Celtic Supporters bus with my brother in law and I was kitted out in my Liverpool gear haha :)

As an Irish-AMerican from New York city, its always a given that I'll have an allegiance to the hoops...but fortunately when i first started playing soccer around 1989 1990 at the age of 4 or 5, my father bought me a goals galore tape and i saw the likes of peter beardsley and john barnes dominating opposition defenses...therefore im a celt by birth, but a liverpool supporter through the grace of God-2 best, most passionate sets of fans in europe...ynwa justice for the 96

@DJgaZman : i was there too i was 16 at the time, there was 1 bloke in the celtic end & he had a rangers shirt on!!! he did get some stares but he must be given credit for it took a brave man who wears a gers top in the celtic end... GB the 96!!!!!!! YNWA

I was there in 1989 - I was only 7 at the time with my dad and I remember swapping shirts with a Liverpool supporter of similar age. I still have it. I have been supporting Liverpool ever since.
