  • Yes indeed. Many artists of that era covered Beatle tunes. Also, Lennon & McCartney wrote songs they didn't record with the Beaatles for other artists such as Peter & Gordon.

  • Yes, John Lennon wrote all of the "Lennon/McCartney" songs that were given to Billy J.Kramer. Actually, Billy's recording of "I Call Your Name" was recorded before The Beatles' version, and The Beatles' version was, to a certain extent, patterned after Billy J's version.
