Brian decided he wanted to cook a pig "Hawaiian Style", or, underground...for 8 hours. So, we dug a hole in the Leshko's front yard, made a raging fire, dropped the pig in, and....it didn't quite work.

Was it the rocks? Was it the Banana Leaves? Lack of faith? Unauthentic costumes?

  • It did not work because there was no oxygen, so the fire died. Not enough heat to cook the pig. Duh

  • you put the rocks 1st???? Hallo,!!!!!

  • My goodness they went out of their way the long way in processing just to roast a pig. Why don't you just try the Filipino way in roasting a pig, so tender, juicy and crunchy on the outside. We call it lechon. The best in the west.

  • LOL. Maybe the next time, try placing the rocks over the fire wood to heat them up. You want those rocks nice and hot. When the fire dies down and the rocks are nice and hot, place some banana stumps or some thing has a lot of moisture to keep the pig from burning dry. Check out some videos on the Internet. Well, at least you guys had a wonderful time and had fun trying. Good luck. Aloha
