Thinking about getting this kit for Christmas... Do you recommend it?

@Lunaman2269 Same thing is happening to mine. But with me, No warranty. So thats where a clean super glue job steps in;)

I got this same kit. My cymbal pads are splitting at the seams, I smash the hell out of em. Good thing I have the guitar center 2 year warranty, only had em about 8 months. Perfect for the apartment though. Thanks for the tips, I've just been running it straight up on kit 1,3,4 and 2 custom ones. I love kit 3 and 4.

I've seen other videos for this set, and your set up sounds really good! I guess it has a lot to do with the settings, seems like the set is fine.

you said something about edrummonitor and that allows you to make the ride cymbal into a ride/crash?

I have this kit. I've gotten it hooked up and sounding great by using ezdrummer. However, to kill lag I switched to an ASIO sound driver (asio4all v2).
My only problem is my Hihat controller. I have no clue how to get the hihat pedal to transmit the correct signal to make the hihat open and close. Can you tell me your module settings for this? Voice / etc?

@dustin102432 Get a midi to usb converter. Plug it in. Set it up. Basically google it.

Sweet Video, Im thinking of getting this set, Sd7 , and updated hithat or kick pad. Do u notice any latency issues? on snare hits, or on processing on the pc

@Drakhar1 Not particularly. Unless you're trying to do buzzrolls and whatnot. I'm used to playing digi drums though, so the millisecond delay that's always present doesn't bother me as it does some other drummers.

Sup dude. Grats for the vid.
I'd like to know the procedure to make it "hearable" on the pc.
Coz what i did was connecting my edrum's midi out to USB-in pc (midi-to-usb cable).
Opened Sonar 8> Ezdrummer. After that I dunno how to proceed, coz i cannot hear anything when i click on the virtual drums, neither i see a reaction on the computer when i stroke my edrum's pads.
I know it's prolly some retard stuff I'm missing, but I'm totally new to this and I could use some help, if u will :)

@redcenter Honestly it could be a million things. Things to check- EZ Drummer is loaded properly, and the location of your samples is properly set. Your monitors are on and working properly. The midi input on your EZD channel is set to whatever channel your drums are coming through. Basically you need to find a friend that can look at your computer and figure it out, because over-the-internet diagnostics are fairly impossible. Good luck.
