As a GWT and Python Developer, you need to drop everything and move to PHP for simple Apps. I've never gotten why people have used big languages for small applications. Yes, I think that if you're making a website for a bank, use JAVA! It's strong, but for everyday websites, use PHP. It's a simple and universally used language. Even the FB platform is written in PHP. (Maybe this comment had nothing to do with this video, just felt like saying it. :P Since he was talking about simple apps.)
