@GMofShunTao Thank you for your reply, much appreciated, and apologies for the delay in response, Im not always logged in, when I do Chi-Gung therapy (especially when the client is laying on their front) i was always taught to go with their breath, as in, make the movement whilst they are exhaling) in order that there, is, I guess, less shock when and if there is pain or discomfort?... thank you

This technic sounds great. It sounds a lot like Reiki.

should the client not be encouraged to what westerners know as backward breathing or belly breathing?... :-)

@MISSLD125 It is not that those methods are incorrect methods of breathing. They are simply used for very specific reasons and should only be studied under a qualified instructor. I have found from my own clinical and Martial experience that 98% of the time you never need any of the specialty breathing to get the good result.
God Bless.

Is there any books or classes that I can take to learn this?

Sorry for long wait, I was on tour.
Yes, there are some very good books out there on the subject. But, there are some very bad books too. LOL
Good books that will keep you occupied for a good while,
* Chinese Medical Qigong Therapy Volume 1: Energetic Anatomy and Physiology
* Chinese Medical Qigong Therapy Volume 2: Energetic Alchemy, Dao Yin Therapy and Qi Deviations
There are 5 books in the set but, these should keep you busy for at least a few years. God Bless.
