One thing everyone need to be clear of is as Catholics first and foremost we do not worship Mary. We respect the sacrifice she made to fullfill god's will. Like we celebrate our Birthdays we remember our dear mother. Further if you read carefully the prayers we pray, never ever do we say MARY HAVE MERCY ON US!!! no we only say MOTHER MARY PRAY FOR US!!!. If a normal pastor can intercede and pray for us why cannot the mother of our dear lord jesus christ intercede and pray for us.
