Funtime - A Parody of Star Trek: The Original Series

FUNTIME was a most embarrassing incident that none of the science experts aboard the Enterprise could really explain - so they decided to forget it.

This is my contribution to the genre of "lost episodes of Star Trek", which luckily blooms here on YouTube. Kirk/Spock slash is implied, but it's not a major element here: there isn't more of it - perhaps even less - than in some real eps. :)

I wonder why there are so few - although I do love those few - Star Trek/Rocky Horror crossover videos here. The shows are just meant to each other.

The song is by Iggy Pop and David Bowie and performed by Boy George. (If the version sounds "a wee bit funny" to those already familiar with it, it's because I slowed it down a little.)

The disclaimer, as if this weren't obvious enough: I don't own Star Trek or the music I used here, I just mutilated them for my own, totally non-profit purposes, and even the screencaps are not mine, but provided by TrekCore.com. Except that one Frank-N-Further, of course. I can't remember where I originally got it from, I just found it on my computer (and what does that tell about me?).

Which version of the song "Funtime" is this?

It's by Boy George, from his album "Cheapness and Beauty" - the year is 1995, I think. The lyrics have been somewhat cleaned up for this version, I guess -- though I'm not that familiar with the original, heard it only once. (And btw, as I explained up there, I slowed the whole song down a bit for "artistic purposes", so it may sound odd to those who actually know BG's version.)
