In late '06, rookie kite boarder Mark H. aka "The Professor" first to venture out in triple overhead surf on an under powered light wind conditions. Undisclosed location in North America.
The Professor may have been a rookie kiter, however he had decades of experience surfing and windsurfing large waves. While experienced kiters stood on the cliff watching, he couldn't get on the water fast enough. Remember the Jeff Clark rule "If you haven't paddled out, don't tow (kite, windsurf, or whatever).
