  • This is exactly what gets me about Christians. They are fine being ignorant of science and history just so they can hang on to faith. I say if you have a problem Rook's points, read the books, prove him wrong, prove academia wrong. Don't just go on believing Wyatt and Hovind are real scientists.

  • Good grief, you butchered that subject.

  • The greatest miracle is the creation. Once you accept Go has greater power than Humans then everything else fits. Go does not live within natural laws, we have no idea what laws apply in the world Go lives in. Jesus was a spirit when he ascended to heaven.

  • Even in the Old Testament, the word "cloud" is almost always used to describe the presence or movement of God--at least in the physical dimension.

I caution you to not place your own understanding above God's. What if God and the angels use technology so unfathomably advanced that it makes any descriptive words in Greek seem ridiculous?

The more we enter into the space age, the more Gods Word becomes even more plausible.

  • @B1ackHo1eSun

who made anyone a bible expert... idiot. He obvioulsy has the presence of mind to question it unlike you.

  • The answer to everything is the creator "God". We were created. We are inferior. What you are doing is questioning the the divine. I'm a christian but i'm always reading into history and the possibilities of how we became. Ascension, ressurection, angels, heaven, etc. It doesn't matter. God is capable of anything. I don't care if the bible talks about animal crackers carrying Jesus to the pearly gates. You are ignorant. Your not dumb, you just know alot about what isn't so.

  • And a circle is two dimensional! Repeating your argument does nothing to make it true.

  • No, the Biblical statement that the earth is a circle is written from the perspective of men. Not eveything in the Bible is a human perspective. The Bible is a history of divine revelation, not a system of beliefs.

  • If the bible was written from the perceptive of men then there is no grounds for claiming to be divinely inspired. None what so ever. Secondly, round is a two dimensional description. Sphere is what you are looking for and even so the bible doesn't hint that this "roundness" is in all three dimensions. Finally, the bible is chalk full of language that indicates a flat earth and has no other coherent meaning if you look at it "metaphorically."

  • The Bible does not support a flat earth. It is speaking from the perspective of men -it looks flat. It says the earth is round, not flat. And the CLOUD was a heavenly cloud. Christ went through space into another dimension.
