There is something in Faris's voice that reminds me of David Bowie

I loved their original style, but this sounds pretty fantastical to me.

I really enjoy all their albums a lot. I didn't care for the remake of My Boyfriend's Back or One Day At A Time (interestingly both covers) but aside from that I think they a great band. You had some really good suggestions here BTW. I would add Crocodiles "Sleep Forever" to the list.

I was bothered by the general lack of drums on Raven In The Grave. Note that I didn't say one was better than the other; I simply stated that one was particularly dreamy and very cohesive. My personal favorite is actually Whip It On, but I don't think we'll see a return to that heavier sound, so I work hard to appreciate the good in everything they've done since.

Additionally, I think it is quite easy to find great new music, as you said, but how much better to have people suggest great music!

These are some excellent suggestions. My only disagreement is that The Raveonettes "Raven In The Grave" is a better album than "Observator". I get so tired of hearing people complain that there is no good new music which is completely untrue though you may have to search for it - which is easier than ever nowadays with YouTube & Spotify.
