I had no clue where this story would take me, one never does when interviewing the elders. A genealogical tale could expose you to love, war, blessings and tragedy; the tale of the washer woman exposed me to all that and more.

Washerwoman: A woman who washes clothes and linens for a living.

  • I find researching Jamaican ancestry difficult, the RGD can never find any of the records I ask for. I have talked to my dad about family history but some of the details he gives me are not accurate, they're just stories that have been passed down.
