UNICEF Malaysia: Progress and Disparity, The Final Challenge

Malaysia has transformed itself in a span of three decades and is today one of South East Asia's wealthiest nations. The country has overcome many challenges since the 1970s and is now enjoying the benefits of its early investments in development, health and education. Despite these remarkable successes, pockets of poverty and disparity remain, posing the final challenge to the country in its efforts to fully deliver on the promise of the Millennium Development Goals.
