Classic Game Room HD reviews ROAD RASH 1 for Sega Genesis (the Japanese Sega Mega Drive to be exact). From Electronic Arts, this EA video game is classic Sega Genesis awesomeness. Race your motorcycle in bloody Mad Max Road Warrior style competition against gangs of thungs and no-good weirdos (like Biff) . Kick them and punch them off their bikes, run the cretins over and go for the win! Road Rash is the 1991 masterpiece for EA (this is the 1992 Japanese Sega Megadrive version) which spawned numerous sequels. Game cartridge has a password save system, several bikes that you can save up money to buy and several tracks. This CGR review of Road Rash has gameplay from Road Rash on Sega Genesis showing Road Rash game play in Sega Mega Drive action.

  • I'm still working off the Karma for talking a friend into swapping this for Greendog...

  • Never EVER go up a hill in the left lane! Are you MAD!?...Rude Boy never stood a chance.

  • game was better with music on

  • i loved this game

  • Road Rash 1's music is simply awesome!! Sierra Nevada's is the best with cowbell and best of all a drum solo!! I never thought I'd headbang to 16 bit music!! Sega Genesis FTW!

  • The Amiga 500 version of this game was amazingly smooth and the music was very very good. Spent many an hour here.

  • I've got to agree with NoMac90. I actually like the soundtrack of Road Rash. I'll admit that it isn't smooth, but I don't see how you can stand to play with just the sound effects.

  • All the constant Japanese-to-English jokes are coming off as obnoxious and racist.

  • That's pretty weird, this game soundtrack is a classic to me and EVERYONE of my family. Man, it's Rob Hubbard and Mike Bartlow, especially Rob did a great job in creating music. The problem on this is, it's always clipping and way too loud. On emulators, you can disable the overdrive and the sound is pretty nice. The best songs are PACIFIC COAST and PALM DESERT.

  • "After being attacked by monster, i no longer see the color of time." hahaha if thats what they really said this game would be complete. If they made this game nowadays they woukd have to add a feature to chainsaw someone then call them a noob
