How to Make a Cheap Fog Chiller (Tutorial)

A tutorial on how to make a cheap, DIY fog chiller or fog cooler. There are lots of different ways to do this, this video is just how I decided to build mine. A fog chiller will cool the fog from your fog machine down so that it sinks to the floor instead of rising everywhere (as hot fog is prone to do). Great for a spooky Halloween effect or any other application. I built this one for use at local shows with bands, we found that the heat of the room while a band was performing was basically making the fog just turn into a giant cloud infront of the bands. Say goodbye to seeing the drummer in the back! Anyways this is meant to be a more portable, quick and easy fog chiller to be used on the road for that sort of application but it would also work for other things too.

I just hot glued a couple of gallon water holders together and filled it with ice. It worked too and hot glue works better than tape

dude you didnt explain how you put the bag on. can you explain that please? I dont understand . it looks liek you cut a few holes in it or something

@ABL36 i honestly just laid a wrinkly plastic back on top of the pipe at the end. that's it! try it out! it helps to spread the fog out and keep it on the floor as it first exits the tube.

try a little salt on your ice especially if you have an inch or so of water for super cooling

you should use a flexible vacuum hose to connect the fog machine to the chiller... its easier to position it and use with various models.
