  • And for you diskea, Lady gaga did not invent dance pop LOOOL and yes you said that.. look at spice girls and britney spears.. there were many things like that, many in wikipedia says it is soul less music, I think it is myself. when you know that their recordings are just covered by autotune, and you can't hear any emotions, but maybe people like to dance to it... in new generation, it seems like that is what people like, soul less music people like to dance to... like crunks and dance pop.

  • @Fakestar0x I didn't say Lady Gaga invented dance pop.......

  • I don't know why people try to compare two different music genre from two different countries and say this one is better than other one. It is just silly as comparing dog and cat, and ask which one you like better. Both kpop and jpop are great but plz dont think that one is better than the other because you like it.

  • @drjoohan you didn't watch this video, did you?

  • Fundamentally Wrong Assumption: KPop artists are desperate, or very eager or whatever, to break into the mainstream US market.

LSM specifically said North American market is not important strategically. SNSD is releasing all those CDs in US only because Interscope took on all the risks.

2NE1 already have an album ready but don't think it's worth bothering... hence the delay upon delay.

WG will come back to US soon but it will be more of a market test event than anything else...

  • @ikickss there are so many korean artists that want to make it in the USA. I stated facts based on what i have heard and seen. SNSD wouldn't have tried to be in America if SM and themselfs didnt want to be. Its nothing wrong with having this goal. I see nothing wrong with it.

  • OK I don't listen to j-pop, but I only listened to 3 or 4 songs two months ago and the Japanese voices are so annoying in it (sorry to say that)

so I don't like j-pop but I LOVE j-rock so awesome and great

Korean are good with pop, hip hop and rap

Japanese are good with rock, Electronic rock and punk

  • @tochjo772 I have the freedom to do as i please. same as you or anyone else. This video is my opinion and i didnt talk badly about either type of music. I can understand if i was bashing kpop or jpop but i am not.

  • Jpop had hit in billboard chart before 2006 hell before 1990s LOL

there were jpop hits in billboard around 1970 LOL

  • @Fakestar0x

I usted to listen to pop music and I know for sure people listen to it because they know everyone likes it... and I tried to like it but pop got old after a while.. I listened to american pop all the time... it just gets old after a while and people move on.. at least most people do.. because if they are repetitive people lose interest...and I lost insterest in pop because they are just soo predictable.

Kpop is one of those things as well.

  • @p3achdoll

I am not obsessed with metal/rock... I don't like kpop OR Jpop... pop is for beginners... you know like justin bieber and girls listen to it for cheesy lyrics and autotune and dance beats.

  • @Fakestar0x don't worry about kpop..kpop is popular now but it doesn't mean its reputation is forever.. there will be many new upcoming trends in the future that might bring kpop down..like what happened to jpop.. kpop came out and jpop's popularity decreased.. (and I'm not saying this coz i hate jpop..I'm a die-hard jpop fan) What matters is support whatever u believe without hurting others.

  • Jpop was known before 2006 btw.. if you look at utada hikaru.. she was making things with american and same goes for kubota toshinobu.. i was in high school at end of late 90s.. so I know.. and it was just as overrated as kpop

  • @p3achdoll

thats the most important, the problem is that there are too many trolls in kpop fans and they are really ridiculous.. i get tired of how they deny that kpop had influence from american dance pops.. but you know they always deny things and act rididculous and it is good idea to ignore such fans.

  • i don't really care about the jpop kpop war (i used to but i realized it's useless) anyway. i dnt care as long as i have my jpop, cpop, and tpop songs and albums :)

  • Japanese artist did have it's time in 1980s when we look at loudness and EZO.. but for you people who only listen to pop.. you won't know it.. there are some jpop hits on billboard but I must say, billboard charts isn't important.

The problem with Jpop is that there are TOO MANY groups. so everyone likes different jpop artists when it comes to jpop.. I mean it's not big deal to normal people but to insecure people who are obsessed with kpop or jpop do have that problem.
