A failed attempt to cook an artichoke uncovered in a microwave oven resulted in this little withered petal that caught my heart. It moves carefully and with determination.

Never have I seen such a sad, penguin-like artichoke leaf.... reminds me of the time I tried to broil an eggplant... poor thing exploded and looked like Osti the Ice Age mummy found in the Italian Alps. Tasted great though.

I am reminded of Sysiphus and his punishment of eternally rolling a boulder up a hill.
Sort of a modern take on it.
