Build a Cheap Amplifier for under $50

Here's a demo and build of my first amplifier. It is a little 13.5Watt mono mini chip amp with volume control, cooling fan and LED VU meter.

Mate!------------great project-------BUT-your Voltage Regulator needs a BIGGER heat sink.

If it has any Voltage Drop-it creates-Heat?

13 watts?-------------RMS or Music Power?

For "quick "bursts-no worries----BUT-for sustained use at high levels--- MELTDOWN!

Try it!-------------check the Power Supply , Voltage Regulators for---------Heat.

To build amplifier nowadays is just a waste of money. U can get a better fully functional and higher fidelity with the money needed to actually build one urself.

@perry244 You missed the point here. Its the fun in building it yourself if you want to be lazy and buy what there is out there power to ya but don't knock it if your not going to try it .

Great little amp gives me ideas on how to fix my parents up so they can hear their tv better. Keep building and having fun.
