Cicero's Speach Against Catillina [parts 1 & 2] (in Latin)

here is my rendition of the first two parts of cicero's speech against catilina; it is not a reading, i mostly know the words already, and i wanted it to be spoken in a way in which it really sounds like i feel what i'm saying. it's not too loud because i couldnt be yelling; aside from that, it is also to demonstrate the pronunciation, since i didnt like how most of the readings sounded. i would normally say it faster, but i'm trying to speak slowly in case some are still new to it, so they can follow it. i might be adding the other parts later. enjoy and thanks for watching!



TRANSLATION:

to what extent will you abuse, Catiline, our patience?
for how long will that madness of yours still mock us?
to what end will your unrestrained audacity toss itself about?

have not even the guards of the Palatium,
nor the city watches, nor the fear of the people,
nor the meetings of all good men,
nor the holding of senate in this most entrenched place,
not even the faces and expressions of these men
moved you at all?

do you not feel your plans to be exposed?
do you not see your conspiracy is already held bound by the knowledge of all these men?

what've you done over the last night,
and the one before that,
where you've gone,
who you've summoned,
what plans you took,
whom of us do you do you think is ignorant to this?

Oh the times, oh the costumes!
the senate understands these matters,
the consul sees them;
yet this man lives!

Lives? not only but indeed he also comes into the senate,
he's made to participate in the public council,
he makrs and designates with his eyes,
each one of us for slaughter!

But us, strong men, seem to do enough for the republic if we just avoid that man's conflict and madness!
To death, Catiline, it's already due that you should have been dragged by command of the consul!
onto you should be brought the plague which you've devised for us!

@GodmyX thanks, i appreciate that; and not to be critical of you, but just take it as a small advice if you will, i personally think that it's better to do something perhaps not perfectly, but at least do something, than to not do anything at all in hope of achieving perfection, just think of all the great minds and their creations had they not done things because of being perfectionists, besides, someone can pick up after your work and polish it, the greater achievements are collective works
