  • don't get me wrong, the Jd sounds amazing! but the Fantom G can sound as good that's the reason i sold my JD. If was rich would get it back for sure.

  • @alphacode909

I seriously doubt that. The fantom is not even made for sound creation! it's a preset machine.

The JD has a control panel that has never been seen since on any digital synth

  • @MARANTZamp sorry man i will stop replying to stupid comments from now on ,get both and see which one can do what and then post . by the way i just upladaded a demo of the Fantom G so check it out to understand better....

  • this is one amazing sounding synth. the fantom sure doesnt sound like it.

  • you're wrong actually apart the filter that sound differently 99% of the sounds are identical, in fact it's the same structure of the sounds....

  • What's the name of the song at 8:00 ???

    (i can't believe i forgot)

    anybody ?

  • Underworld - Born Slippy

  • 5:56 - sounds like Spooky - Little Bullet part 1???

  • I am about to purchase one...anyone ever used a patch editor for it? -perhaps from the likes of "soundquest editors" ?

  • @MARANTZamp Does it? I have one and I like it. But fat is not the word for it. Jupiter8 is fat :) I would more go for glittering if I should pick a word to describe the JD800. I hope Roland will come to their senses some day and release a new machine with this kind of interface. It really makes things 10 times easier to use to have sliders and knobs.

  • @MARANTZamp I'm searching for the electric piano that is found in many intros to songs such as Beauty and the Beast..Kenny G's Forever in Love. It sounds like the Dyno in the Korg 01wfd but it is not. I was told it was from modules. I think this board has a Crystal Rhodes that is similar.

  • Amazing sounds...may I ask if you could share these excellent patches? (via midi patch dump sysex file)

  • GREAT SOUNDS GREAT PLAYING !!!

  • @alphacode909

Well, perhaps its better u stop repying.

Had the Fantom first, uts a preset machine, sound is good but something was missing. But the JD-800, yeah, thats it. Best synth ever, nice filter (Fantom filter was crap) use it as a masterkeyboard too. Its a dream!
