He was original what can you say, thank goodness he didn't have any copy cats! One Tiny Tim is enough. lol

I worked at a small hotel in Central Florida in the mid 70's. Tiny Tim stayed there for about 4 months. It was during the decline of his career. I spoke with him daily and he knew our small staff by name. Tiny Tim was always kind to everyone. I distinctly remember the time when he called down about a large (Florida) roach in his room. I brought in bug spray - but he did not want it killed - just wanted me to get it out of the room! He was a very gental person. Oh, he really could sing!

Janis Jopplin is worse.

Say what you will about Tiny Tim, he was an undauntedly unique individual. I remember when he came to national attention in the late 60s. I admired his fortitude in presenting himself in a manner that, frankly, fostered often hostile reactions and extreme ridicule. But, my young friends, it was a time of change in our country, and the tolerance that pervades our land owes much of its genesis to that decade. It was an exciting time to be young and to truly feel that we were fomenting change.
