@PolemicArts True, for relatively short exposure times, a cable release adapter is better suited, but this mod works great for night photography, where the exposure is measured in minutes. I usually cover the lens with my hand as I insert and remove the lock, to prevent camera shake being recorded on the film.
@TiffanyChoable This video is for the clothespin lock for the Holga 120, which should also work on the Holga 135. A locking cable release cable will also work in the Holga 135, but not the Holga 120 which does not have a cable release socket. You can use a cable release on the Holga 135 by installing it in the threads of the shutter release button. For the Holga 135, a locking cable release is probably the better solution.
@MrBrandec The shutter release lock is used in low light conditions when the N setting (about 1/100 sec) is too quick for a proper exposure. It allows you to keep the shutter open for extended periods of time for long exposure.
thats pointless your still moving the camera to press the shutter
