I was just recently searching through the tons of old videos we have stored in my external hardrive, and when I found these two short clips, I was almost speechless - these two short video clips of the lovely P-51 Mustang, "Su Su", being flown by Naziruden Hirani, were only taken two months before both this beautiful piece of history and the great aviator who flew her were tragically lost at the plane's home airport in Arizona.
in an odd coincidence, I had only become aware of this tragedy a few days before I found these clips, when I casually mentioned that I looked forward to see Su Su again at the next Cable Air Show, and my dad told me what happened. and it was a bit of a shock to hear, I loved this plane, she had quickly become my favorite attraction at the show. so even though it's late, I wanted to make my own tribute to both the pilot and the plane.
from the bottom of my heart, R.I.P.
Disclaimer: I do not own the song used in this video, it is a segment of the track "Where's Hiccup?" from the soundtrack to Dreamworks' 3D animated film "How to Train Your Dragon" and is the property of it's respective writters/copyright holders.
