Katie and Muiris Wedding SONG w/ Wide Awake (Jake Walden -proud brother- w/Rob Ahlers -true friend)

Here's the story....Well if ever there were a time for words I guess this would be one...only for once I don't have any. I have waited a long time to share this, my little contribution to a day, to two people, I and all I love will always remember as one of the most special, meaningful and fun days of our lives. I believe in you two more than you will ever know and can't watch this without fighting the tears...you see I have never been witness to something more beautiful.

As you can hear I had only an introduction to what would today become "For You Anything (the wedding song)"...and then, finally the song I wrote for no one in particular at the time, finally finding it's rightful place in the universe. "Wide Awake" will always make me remember this day in the redwoods, with my great friend and co creator Rob Ahlers, singing our song for you two.

This song, at first only four lines and a thought is now an entire piece ready to be recorded for the new album. In a way it is the heart of the record, for in you Katie, my sister, I have known true love, as receiver and witness. You deserve every moment of happiness come your way, for without fail, you always, always bring light and beauty to a sometimes harsh world.

Five months down kiddos and a lifetime to go...
