Based on a 1156 Core i5-760 CPU running at 3.6GHz (Mildly Overclocked) and a GeForce GTS250, this Hackintosh easily performs better than the $2499 Mac PRO. It runs an unmodified OSX retail disc (except for the EFI patch) and runs like a charm for under $599.

Core i5-760; 4GB RAM; GTS250; Intel X25-M SSD; WD 640GB HDD.

  • Very nice work.

    Does the sound work properly?

I've heard that that can be a problem with hackintoshes

If you press command F5 does voice over start talking?

  • @russelljenkinsfearn It needs a patch to enable audio, you can use Multibeast for that. Audio then works flawlessly with no cracks or anything. Voice over also works flawlessly - Everything does, actually.

  • Namco my C64 is faster!:)

  • @Hraesvlgr HAHA :)
