Well it's come to an end now, but since a chap called Graham sent me a nice email, I decided to give you all my thoughts on the recent BBC hit, Jekyll.

Everything I say is of course my opinion and not fact. And damn, if I owned the series, there's no way in hell I'd be talking about it. I'd be sat in a room somewhere, surrounded by money and adoring fans, laughing my head off. So basically it's entirely not mine.

  • I know what you mean about Flash backs, sometimes they can be used to great effect, but when you sigh every time one comes up, they need to stop doing them.

I know they where needed in shows such as Lost, but I sometimes they got overly anoying, to the point I don't actually care for the show anymore. Which is a shame.

  • That's a very good point about Lost...I too got bored with that series and stopped watching it, mainly because it got very overcomplicated and it became too obvious they were making it up as they went along with no real plan...also, I don't have Sky. ^^ ~~Eevee

  • I've read the book b4 jekyll came out, i love Jekyll and hyde! u should check out the music for jekyll and hyde the musical i went to see it in the theater itz brill!!!!!!

  • There's a musical?! Dammit, I so want to see that now...~~Eevee

  • I watched first episode but wasn't hooked and didn't watch the rest of the series. I'm kinda regretting it now. >_< Oh well, it's probably online somewhere

  • Well, you don't have to put that much faith in my opinion...^^ I think maybe Jekyll wasn't a series that was immediately gripping because the first episode wasn't particularly action packed. Sometimes you just gotta stick with something to be rewarded...^^ ~~Eevee

  • I only watched jekyll because i watched sherlock (moffat does that too) and i found out moffat did jekyll and i watched it and was hooked : )

  • I just finished watching it on DVD and i absolutely loved it.

The main problem though was that the plot lacked focus and the conclusion seemed very rushed but everything else was amazing and James Nesbitt was masterful.

  • Nice review. Just watched the show in its entirety (gotta love file sharing), was thinking of reviewing it someday, and looked to see if anyone else had allready done it. And here I am. Here's my 1½ cents for your 2 cents: I actually never even noticed the prosthetic chin. Thanks for bringing it up. And personally, I enjoy the flashback sequences; I think they're a nice change of pace and a great way to get more back story. Other than that I agree with you completely. Great show.

  • I'm that smart!

  • My boyfriend got the DVD of Jekyll for his birthday and we've been watching it and loving it. I love his creepy eyes. I agree a little bit about the flashback thing. It is a tad over-used. (I also saw the Second Coming just because of Rusty and Chris. ;) )

  • No it wasn't just you who sat all alone in the library reading the original Jekyll & Hyde (what?! I was bored)! Anyway, I've only just discovered your reviews on this dull and dreary night (well, actually, I haven't looked out of the window yet and seeing as it's 4am, I don't think it will make much difference) and it's finally something intelligent rather than the classic "WATCH MY REVIEW!!!" to find that all they say is "it was good." Um... I've been rambling for a while now so I'll just stop.

  • oh i didn't watch jekyll, wanted to but didn't, aside from the fact i forgot (All we have is BBC America so i dont get much reminder)

I love your ending, it almost posses me to write a fan fiction

  • I liked Jekyll. Can't say I liked whoever it was that played Mrs Jekyll, but I liked it all the same.

  • I have to agree. Eevee, you do look markedly different in the Jekyll vid and Dr Who Season 3 finale vid than in any of your other vids before or since. In fact you look about ten years older in these two for some reason (this is not a criticism, I think you look equally lovely in both incarnations). Your personality seems slightly different in those two vids as well, you seem less girly and ever-so-slightly scary. Did you regenerate or do you have an evil(ish) clone?

  • Jekyll was awesome :3
