i totally agree that they should see kids from the very start... no one wanted to see my son, because he is only two. untill i put my foot down and told my dentist that some one had to see my son, just send him to a specialist or something and she finaly did.. but only after it was to late. now they are saying they have to pull his 4 front top teeth and cap alot of the ones he has in the back .. i thought i was being so carfull. NO candy or any thing of the sorts and i brush all the time

I'm sorry to hear that! I wish more pediatricians and general dentists follow the AAPD's recommendations of recommending a child being seen before a child's first birthday! As a pediatric dentist, I unfortunately hear stories like yours a lot! :(
