A bit from the Hoover, Alabama City Council session for 12-06-2010.

The text, as I typed it in the video frames above:
Text Frame 1: "Hoover City Council Meeting, December 6th, 2010----
My apologies for not uploading this sooner. Politics delayed is politics denied, right?"
TF2: "Please observe: it is of course normal to utter an invocation for favor from above, and pledge allegiance to our nation's flag at government meetings. Some content cut d/t upload times"
-Footage of part of invocation and that...sign-
TF3: "It is, under Alabama State law, permissable for a government body to restrict where in the room one can film from.
But is it ~POLITICALLY~ advisable to have these signs present? Please observe: the pledge."
-Footage of The Pledge Of Allegiance-
TF4: "Here follows an attempt to address an issue while filming myself.
Of course, neither the mayor or council possessed the political fortitude to allow such a thing, if you'll observe the clip."
-Footage of the question from behind the sign-
TF5: "*blink* My compliments to all present for their calm demeanor.
For those employees who possess genuine goodwill, I do hope heaven smacks aside the hand that would sign termination of their contracts."
TF6: "I did get to address the item (an amendment to the budget) at the podium, w/camera off...
My apologies for the question not being a bit meatier than merely mentioning (wait for it)"
TF7: "The budget and it's relation to the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
No government body really wants we the peas- oops, employers to mention those four words..."
TF8: "*Especially* on camera
This is why that silly sign is present in council chambers."
TF9: "I believe it is divine intervention that allowed that law to be written as it is.
Thus, the sneaky (of any party) would expose themselves as such by trying to claim that a cell-phone camera or hand-held camera"...
TF10: ..."held by any person sitting in one of the row seats (or while speaking at the podium) is a fire hazard (WHAT?) or, even more shameful, filming distracts them. Would the cameras of C-SPAN be a distraction? How unworthy!"
