  • I completely agree with you.I watch Laci Green's channel and usually agree with her on most points, but her opinion on Twilight seemed completely off the wall to me.Although I don't particularly like Twilight,I don't see anything sinister or any subliminal messages or anything else going on there. The books are just what you said.Nothing that we haven't seen before, just cliched teenage romance novels, with a weird fantasy twist. Loved your creeper brother in the background, made me laugh :P

  • @blackcatsblue94 thanks and yeah, she's usually pretty moderate with liberal opinions and open philosophies, but she chose an aggressive stance in what i feel was sort of a sell-out maneuver, jumping on the band wagon and attacking Twilight simply because it's the popular thing to do; i'm not attacking her, she still runs a decent, entertaining YouTube channel, but her argument against Twilight was one of her weakest and she paraded it around as obvious psychological fact.

  • owned!

  • Nice assessment. :) I always enjoy your scattered thoughts!

  • It's probably safe to assume I am >.>

  • @nintandao64 yeah, already requested it as a link; i think she has to accept it first, though.

  • @tamithomas that's fine when you're dealing with pseudo-equivocal evils, but Twilight(the books, not the films) never even approached the level of vapid vitriol we constantly deal with in today's mainstream media and furthermore her analysis was all wrong.

"analysis becomes invalid the moment you start ignoring or omitting bits of context to suit your hypothesis or to tailor the facts to a favorable conclusion. deduction isn't working with what you please, it's working with what you've got."

  • Did you link it as a video response yet? :p
