許美靜 - 城裡的月光(version foocw)

I had meant this to be a tribute to the Mid-Autumn Festival, but I was too busy on the day itself. I had wanted it done alternatively on the day after, as I prefer the moon on the 16th on the Lunar Calendar. But I was undecided on which song. I had wanted to sing 一樣的月光 by 徐佳瑩, but it was too tough. Then I somehow found this song, but the Tank version. It had no vocal-less version, but it led me to the original, a 13-year-old fully-local classic.

So I'm gonna dedicate it to my friend whose birthday falls on the day of this upload. Not the most 'correct' of songs, but, yeah, Happy Birthday.

It's written by a local, performed by a local, and was the theme song for one of the classic local drama productions. I'm Singaporean, by the way.

So here it is, a local guy's take on yet another song from a female singer.

I'm gonna sound a bit shameless, but I try to sing every song at their original key, as my way of respect, both for the original singer and the composer.

But the truth is, I can't find anything that ISN'T in original key, and I stink in Adobe Audition.

Yeah I guess I should have. Sounds a little choppier than I had wanted. Was afraid that I would miss going into the next line if I over-dragged.

Will definitely take note of that the next time I sing something with long ending notes. Thank you!

OMG, I had thought you'd sing it lower but wow, you have a nice falsetto (I'm assuming you are using falsetto. sorry if I'm mistaken) and it's much more stable than mine. I think you did pretty well... It's one of my favourite songs. ^_^
