People who are entrusted with public office to serve the people, then turn around and sell their soul to big corporation to make a quick buck should hang. The internet should be open and free. I don't want to pay $4 extra to gain access to YT $5 for myspace, $6 for craiglist etc. These cable companies earn billions a year, and will continue to do so, but of course they want more. We must stand up to them.

Thats funny I would say the complete opposite. If you can block, slow or provide dis-proportionate services to specific web locations don't you in effect provide means to censorship locations? What is to stop corporations from paying internet providers to block web sites with descenting opinions?
This seems to just be an area to allow another level of soft money to be exchanged for dis-information.

Guess some supporting ISP would have no problem paying $5 a month to use Google or MSN. Corporations have no right to charge fees for a website. We already pay for internet service already.
You mean like the censorship we've already seen from the corporations?
Thank god people saw through Conservatard stupidity in time to keep McCain out of the White House.
You only need to view the comments in this thread to see how stupid you people are.
Five years down the line you'll be the assholes we in the technologically literate world will have to deal with when you're complaining about your $500 Google bil if NN doesn't go throughl.
Goddamned idiots.

The reason the government is stepping in..
is because certain corporations have been stepping in for a while now and were only getting bolder in there attempt to control the Internet.
Nothing is free and freedom isn't free, not even on the net.
