Raw Organic Honey is extremely rich in enzymes, vitamins and minerals but ONLY if it hasn't been boiled, heated up or pasteurized (which is common for commercial honeys that are not raw). Honey has been used for centuries due its nutritional value and its extremely long shelf life (measured in centuries). The Honey Bee is also incredibly valuable not only for its honey but for its pollination service without which humans couldnt not survive.

  • is the sugar in the honey bad?

  • @visualkeirockstar No, really the only sugar you should be afraid of is the refined white sugar and stuff like High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS). And of course artificial sweeteners. Sugar that is found in natural sources such as fruits and honey is always accompanied with vitamins, minerals and in the case of fruits, fiber as well which slows the release of sugar to the blood stream and prevents sugar spikes. Honey also rises levels of leptin which gives satiety and prevents overeating. :)

  • Raw honey is amazing but there is no such thing as organic honey.

  • @GodIsCallingYouToHim Organic honey means that the bees were able to collect nectar from flowers that are not sprayed with any kind of herbicides, pesticides and any other chemicals commonly used in modern farming. To be certified organic the hive must be located in a place with a radius of 20km (variates in different countries) of organic flowers/plants etc.

  • is there is way i can know fake honey and real one?

  • @mrfayzal hi there. Well any reputable honey brand will have to be properly labeled. Look for Raw Organic honey. Real unprocessed raw honey may contain small particles of pollen, beeswax, even wing fragments. This is a good sign though! it means that hasn't been filtered or processed, it comes directly from the hive to the bottle. Many raw organic ones that have been filtered and they don't have these particles in it. They are still OK though!. Avoid the ones that have HFCS at all costs.

  • mmm...bee spit

  • Damn, I wanna be a male bee! Lol :))

  • I have recently bought raw organic honey from Spain, but unfortunately they are all filtered, I think. If I knew where to buy unfiltered raw honey I would certainly buy it.

  • I just bought 3 pounds of raw cranberry honey (these people separated their bees so they had "flavours" of honey) for $15.00! Awesome deal for such an amazing product. Great information!!

  • can you recommend any apiaries that don't feed their bees Sugar?

  • You say honey kills bacteria but you also say honey is acidic. I thought a acidic enviroment helps bacteria thrive?

  • (USDA approved organic honey in the United States)

  • I'm totally for you and your video, but I just want to warn others who might go to Fred Meyer and pick up the Kroger Organic honey brand I did the other day, and be able to trust it.
